Since going into private practice in 1988, Donna has used techniques that allow her clients to change more rapidly than with just talk therapy alone. Whether you want to quit smoking, lose weight, reduce your anxiety, improve your relationships, enhance your performance with taking test, or reduce the stress in your life, Donna will work with you in developing a combination of hypnosis, EMDR, and/or the Journey to guide you in creating the changes that you want in your life.
Hypnosis, EMDR, and the Journey all help you to go into a deeper level of awareness which allows you to access more of your inner resources to create change. Hypnosis allows the client to go into the altered level of awareness that opens the client into a whole reservoir of resources that might not be accessed in the normal state of awareness. EMDR uses the alternating bilateral stimulation of the brain to allow the brain to remove blocks that interfere with an enhanced level of functioning. It has been used successfully to reduce anxiety coming from many different causes. EMDR and the Journey can both be used to change beliefs that interfere with change. The Journey helps to remove feelings, beliefs, and behaviors that are stored in the body. Whether the change you want is to stop smoking, lose weight, or improve performance Donna will work with you to create the change you want. Sometimes a direct approach to the issue works and sometimes a more in depth approach is needed.
